FAQ

  • Is Storytime Park primarily for Story Church?

No — Storytime Park is a community-funded, community-focused space, open to all. As a 501(c)(3), Story Church is the catalyst for the project, providing the land and assuming responsibility for ongoing care and oversight.

  • Can Storytime Park be reserved?

Yes. However, to ensure ongoing public access, reservations will be limited to non-peak hours and must be approved by the Storytime Park board. Reservation fees will help support park maintenance.

  • Will there be sports tournaments?

Yes. Storytime Park will host and organize cornhole, futsal, volleyball, basketball, and pickleball tournaments. These events will support local community efforts in alignment with our mission and vision. Outside organizations may also request to host tournaments with board approval.

  • Will this be operated by the city of Rogersville?

No. While the Rogersville city administration fully supports the project, this is a privately owned park that is publicly accessible. The property is owned by Story Church Inc. 501(c)(3), which is responsible for its maintenance and oversight.

  • When will the park be built?

We hope to begin Phase 1 construction in Spring 2026. However, we must raise at least $500,000 in donations before breaking ground.

  • What happens if the full amount isn’t raised right away?

All donated funds will be held securely by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and/or Story Church, depending on the donor’s preference. Construction will begin once $500,000 is secured to initiate site preparation and foundational work. Additional phases will be completed as more funding becomes available.

  • What happens if the donation goal is surpassed?

It is our desire to raise 10% more than the expected construction cost. All funds received above and beyond the actual constructions costs will be used to establish an endowment fund for the upkeep of the park.

  • How can I help?

Donate through Story Church or the Community Foundation of the Ozarks to make an immediate impact. Share our vision with family friends and business owners — every conversation and contribution helps.

  • Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. All donations are tax-deductible through either Story Church or the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, both of which are registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
